Owner Kyle Shannon founded HRT after a decade-long apprenticeship with a master mobile welding contractor. HRT is owner-operated, with two fully equipped trucks and a professional office manager, built to handle $7,000+ multi-day infrastructure contracts.
Kyle runs HRT out of 3555c First St, in the First Street Center industrial park on Livermore's north side. Your parts get fabricated on that bench. When the job's on your site, both rigs roll out from there. Dropping something off? Call first, and someone will be on the bench to meet you.
Six trades under one C-60 license. Each one runs from the First Street shop and goes mobile when the work is on your site.
Livermore is the one city where we work from a fixed address and a truck. The shop is on First Street; the rigs cover everything else. Two things decide how fast on-site work can actually start here, and neither is about welding.
On-site welding, cutting, and torch work in Livermore falls under the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department’s Hot Work fire code permit. LPFD wants the permit application and supplemental documents submitted fourteen days before the work, and the inspection scheduled at least forty-eight hours ahead of the date. Permit fees are set by the City of Livermore and published in the city’s Master Fee Schedule. We build that lead time into the schedule rather than finding it the morning the crew shows up.
The City of Livermore Building Division requires special inspection of structural steel welding and high-strength bolting. The inspector has to be qualified: an AWS Certified Welding Inspector or a California-licensed professional engineer, working under an agency on the city’s recognized list. If your agency is not on that list, the Building Division takes a formal Request to Perform Special Inspection. Our welds are done by AWS certified welding specialists, so the standard the inspector checks against is the standard we already build to.
Commercial buyers check credentials before they check price. Ours are verifiable.
HRT is a business-to-business industrial contractor. In Livermore that means equipment fleets and rental yards, contractors and fabricators who need overflow capacity, property and facility managers with structural repairs, and the light industrial and research operations spread through the First Street and Vasco corridors. We work to a 4-hour industrial minimum at $600, which covers a properly equipped rig and a full crew deployment.

Based here. The shop is at 3555c First St, and two fully equipped mobile rigs run out of it. Livermore is the only city where we have both a bench and a truck, so in-shop fabrication and on-site work can happen on the same job.
Yes, and most jobs use both. Components get fabricated on the bench where tolerances are easiest to hold, then the rigs handle fit-up and installation at your location.
