Bucket repair, hard-facing, pin and sleeve machining, and line boring, performed at your jobsite. Heavy equipment rarely travels well, so two fully equipped rigs come to the machine instead.

Most mobile welders stop at crack repair. The machining services below are where equipment actually gets restored to spec, and they are the reason fleet operators keep our number.
Cutting edges, side plates, and wear surfaces rebuilt, then hard-faced. Hard-facing lays a wear-resistant alloy over the surfaces that erode fastest, which buys a great deal more service life before the next rebuild.
Worn pin bores rebuilt and re-sleeved to return the joint to original clearance. This is the fix for the slop that shows up in boom and bucket linkages as hours accumulate.
Re-machining worn bores back to true on the machine, without teardown. Line boring is what makes pin and bushing work possible without pulling the assembly to a shop.
Booms, sticks, frames, and load-bearing members. Prepped, welded, and reinforced so the crack does not simply reappear beside the bead.
Wear plate and liner replacement on beds, chutes, blades, and buckets. Preventive work is far cheaper than the structural repair it avoids.
Attachment brackets, quick couplers, guarding, and mounting points fabricated and welded. New parts come from metal fabrication.
Trailering a machine to a shop costs a day each way plus transport, and on a rental fleet that downtime is often worth more than the repair.
We dispatch to the machine. Two fully equipped rigs carry the power, gas, consumables, and machining capability to do this work where the equipment already sits: a jobsite, a yard, or a facility floor.
Line boring on site is the piece that makes the rest possible. Re-machining bores true without teardown means pin and sleeve work happens in place rather than in a shop after a two-day round trip.
Shop work when it is genuinely better. Smaller attachments and components that travel easily often get a better result on the bench at 3555c First St.
Fleet and rental buyers are handing over equipment worth six figures. Credentials matter more here than anywhere else on the site.
California Contractor State License Board #1132921. The license that separates professionals from the rest, and the one commercial buyers check first.
American Welding Society certification, so every weld meets industry standard.
Certificates available on request before work begins.
Dual mobile units running out of Livermore, with the capacity for multi-day contracts.
Owner Kyle Shannon founded HRT after a decade-long apprenticeship under a master mobile welding contractor.
Emergency calls welcome.
The work runs across construction, rental fleet, and facility equipment:
If your machine is not on that list, call anyway. The processes are the same and the answer is usually yes. For non-equipment repair work see welding repair.
We run two fully equipped mobile rigs out of our Livermore shop at 3555c First St, covering the Tri-Valley and greater East Bay. Equipment work travels; if your site is outside this list, call and ask.
Hard-facing lays a wear-resistant alloy over the surfaces that erode fastest, typically bucket cutting edges, side plates, and wear surfaces. It is applied during a rebuild or preventively before the base metal is compromised, and it substantially extends service life between rebuilds.
Line boring re-machines a worn pin bore back to true while the machine stays assembled. Without it, restoring a worn joint means pulling the assembly and trailering it to a machine shop. With it, pin and sleeve work happens on your site.

Yes. We fabricate from the failed original or from measurements, which matters on older machines where the part is discontinued.

Yes, a 4-hour industrial minimum at $600. That covers full crew deployment and a properly equipped rig, which on heavy equipment work is what makes the repair worth doing once.
Tell us the machine, the failure, and where it sits. A photo helps us arrive with the right process, filler, and machining setup.
